MONKEY COSTUMES

NEW DECOR?

I knew it wouldn’t be long. We arrived in Denver on Wednesday evening (before the blizzard, thankfully) and less than 24 hours we saw a very large, bronze gorilla. I knew a cool place like Denver would have fun monkeys. Do you think this one would look good in my apartment?

STUPID LAUNDRY

Yesterday as I was walking down the stairs to do a load of laundry, the bag hit my magnificent Monkey-O-Lantern and caused him to crash to the ground. My masterpiece (I know, some of you disagree) was ruined!! I tried not to cry. I put him back together as best as I could. Maybe he'll last 'til Halloween.

Well, here it is!

Does my jack-o-lantern look like a monkey to you? I did my very best. As I was carving, I knew that I had friends (Wince and Bobby) who could have done a much better job. (They are my talented, artist friends.) But if you squint your eyes and take 3 or 4 steps away from your computer, hopefully you can see my monkey!

MONKEY-O-LANTERN

This Saturday, we're continuing a four year tradition and will be pumpkin-carving with some friends. (Sadly, some of our pumpkin-carving friends have moved on.) And I know you will be shocked to know that I was wishing I could carve a monkey pumpkin. I found this one that I might try. So come back on Monday for the update and see how I did!

MONK-e-MAIL

I thought everyone knew about Monk-e-mail, but I was wrong.

You can create your own animated chimp and then sit around all day making him/her talk or you can email it to your closest friends and/or enemies. You can even make your chimp speak what you type. Or you can record a message by phone or microphone and have your chimp speak in your own voice! Can it get any better than this?

I love 3-day work weeks!

I was off Monday for Columbus Day. (If you've been looking for Columbus coloring pages, you can get them here and here...although Columbus is pretty goofy looking in both!)

And I'm taking Friday off to go to Texas for a high school reunion. The prediction for Thursday's forecast here is snow flurries, so I'm glad I'm heading to the sunny south.

And I even like bananas and banana flavored treats, but I just don't think my mouth would seem fresh and clean. You know how when you eat a banana, you have that gritty film all over your mouth? I think I'd want a toothpaste that would get rid of that.
