ANTI SOCIAL BABOONS

**Note to self:
If I'm ever visiting Knowsley Safari Park near Liverpool, England and have a rooftop carrier, AVOID THE BABOON AREA!!

I can't stop laughing at this story and these pics!

Our baboons have been issued with Anti Social Baboon Orders after discovering a technique to open car roofboxes and have been making the most of the extra "playthings" they can find inside them.

To demonstrate this behaviour staff at the park sent through a car with a roof box that they had filled themselves the result of which can be seen in the picture.

Visitors to the park are advised not to go through the baboon section but take the car friendly route if their car is fitted with a roofbox.

PLAY DEAD BAILLIE

My chica, Kara, sent this to me! I loved it, especially since it did remind me of my Bailey (by name as well as, looks.) I guess we need to start adding this training to Bailey's routine. I'm sure she could do it!

DO-RE-MI

I don't often like to get caught up in YouTube videos...it's so overwhelming to me...the vast number of videos.

BUT....

This one warmed my heart and made me SMILE! Okay, and SING too!
And as always, stay with it 'til the end!

STRANGE FRUIT

Last weekend we were in Grant Park and saw Strange Fruit, an Australian performing arts company. Definitely strange! Definitely different. Very creative. And almost impossible to explain. These videos may help. I'm not quite sure how they didn't fall over other than they must have INCREDIBLE abs!

BILLY and KIKO

Have you seen this yet? It's so cute. The doggy kinda looks like our Bailey.

When severe flood waters hit northern Mozambique in 2002, causing misery and extensive damage to property and crops, many animals were left to fend for themselves. But villagers in Caia witnessed a bizarre friendship between a dog and a monkey.

A skinny dog emerged from the bush with a tiny monkey clinging to its back.

HOW ODD!

Last night we went to a Chicago Bulls game. The Bulls aren't doing too great this year but it was a very exciting and close game at the end. The odd part was the half-time show. "A dynamic and exciting strength and hand-balancing act" named Duo Design performed. It was very odd, strange, amazing and unbelievable all at the same time. It's difficult to describe so you can just watch for yourself. The most amazing part is the last 10 seconds, so stay with it until the end.

A SECRET SIDE

A friend and co-worker sent this around work today with the title, "Spice, has a secret side. Who knew?!?!"

It really made me laugh. I'm a really good dancer! (Make sure you have your sound turned up.) Check it out here.

Oh well, my secret is out.

JEEP Commercial

You may have already seen this commercial...I actually saw it on YouTube before TV because one of our coworkers just bought a Jeep Liberty.

If it has singing and animals, then I'm hooked!

MONKEY OR APE?

I'm sure many of you with little ones have probably seen this video, but there may be some of you who haven't. Ya gotta love those VeggieTales!

So I guess I'm an ape...

EVAN ALMIGHTY

We watched Evan Almighty this weekend. I thought it was a pretty decent movie and enjoyed it. Of course, I don't review movies in the same way or as well as Mr. Ginger. But I enjoyed it and especially liked the scene with God (Morgan Freeman) and Evan's wife (Lauren Graham) in the diner. Here's part of it:
God: Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?

And, of course, I got a kick out of the baboons in the movie. They helped Evan build the ark and were quite impressive!!

GO SEE BELLA

On Friday, October 26th, bella premiered in select theaters nationwide. It opens in more theaters on November 9. If it's in your city, please support this excellent life affirming film. We talked with several people from the movie last week in Washington DC and they are praying for a large turnout.
Eduardo Verástegui is one of the main characters. For years he was a hugely successful soap opera star and singer, "the Brad Pitt of Mexico." But after experiencing a deeper commitment to his Roman Catholic faith, Verástegui began to regret his part in reinforcing adulterous "Latin lover" stereotypes. In a speech this past May to the annual pro-life Rose Dinner in Ottawa, Verástegui said that some of his earlier work had sent messages that are "poisoning society." He went on, "It broke my heart. I realized that I was offending God." He summed up, "I wasn't born to be famous or rich. I was born to know and love and serve our Lord Jesus Christ." - Christianity Today

PHIL COLLINS AND MONKEYS

"Well it just seemed like the right thing to do. There's no clever science behind it - it's just an effort to make you smile, in exactly the same way Cadbury Dairy Milk does. And that's what we aim to continue to do; simply make you smile." - Cadbury
And it does. It makes me smile. Not only because it's clever and it's a gorilla. But because it takes me back to the 80's!
