The Today Show is having a vote to name a new Colobus monkey that was recently born at New York's Central Park Zoo.
You have 4 choices: Johnny (no kidding!), Domino, Kubuka or Kima.
Do you really have to ask me which one got my vote? But it's close, so c'mon people, Rock the Vote!
A few interesting facts about Colobus monkeys that you've always wanted to know:
- They are black with white fur down the back (kinda looks like a skunk to me).
- "Colobus" is derived from a word meaning "mutilated one", because unlike other monkeys, they have reduced thumbs.
- They have a specialized digestive system, a chambered-ruminant stomach.
- The colobus baby is born all white, gaining its coloration gradually.
- They sometimes belch in each other's faces as a friendly social gesture. (Who doesn't?!?)

Too bad Lily isn't an option.
