MONKEY DISCOVERY #2

Ho-Hum
Oh, how I loved this book as a kid and to think I had forgotten about it! Like I said before, I didn't think I became a real monkey friend until later in life, but maybe I was a monkey friend long ago and didn't even realize it. (Although, I did notice that this picture book had my brother's name in it, so he must have passed it along to me. I don't know if he liked it as much as I did or not.)

Basically, Ho-Hum is about a little boy, Benjy, who doesn't take a nap because he is so excited about going to the zoo. However, when he gets to the zoo he begins yawning (ho-hum) in front of all the animal cages and causes all the animals to fall asleep - the monkeys first, then the seals, and the bears. But the hippo does not fall asleep because he took his nap!

If you'd like to borrow it sometime, please let me know. It also
went into the “keep” pile. (Sorry again, Mr. PoMonkey!)

I happen to know your brother and in the event he reads this post and "thinks" he should have the book because his name is in it, please tell him no. I do not want to have to clean out our storage shed one day and find this book in it. How did I get involved with such a sentimental family!!!
