Mr. PoMonkey and I arrived in the land of TEXAS today for a conference. We were thrilled to be welcomed by humidity and 75 degree weather!! And it was only 3 minutes after deplaning that we saw our first cowboy hat!
(An interesting side note: as I was preparing for my trip, I discovered that 4 out of 5 people did NOT know what I meant when I said "I can't wait to get those hot pink ROPERS!" I assumed the term "ropers" was known throughout the U.S. I was wrong! So for those of you who don't know...these are ropers!)
