Every time we drive down the street where Carm's is located, there's always a major roadblock and traffic jam caused by cars stopping and pulling off to the side (but not far enough off) for people to run in and grab a Carm's Italian Ice. NOW we understand why...it was excellent! I typically don't like Italian Ice because I don't like a strong lemon flavor. I just don't care for strong acidic products. If I ever have lemonade, I water it down. But this was just right...a hint of lemon and quite sweet. If you come visit us, we'll take you there!
- Fried Ravioli
- Waving to Tommy Lasorda as he rode by on a golf cart
- Cheese Pizza
- Counting the number of men wearing loafers and shorts
- Bocci Ball tournament
- Playing "Italian or Not" with Mr. PoMonkey
- Chocolate covered bananas
- Listening to Jack Miuccio sing Tom Jones' hits! (listen)
- Italian Ice by Carm's
(We also discovered a new place that we've added to our "Places to Visit" list...The Drum and Monkey. We'll keep you posted on that.)

I don't think you've really gotten your money's worth at a genuine Italian restaurant until you see someone "offed" by a the Mob. What a disappointing experience. At the very least someone could have gotten thrown through a window.

I am coming to visit and I want to go!!!
Mmmm! The food sounds wonderful!
Next time you're here, we need to go to Napoli's, a great Italian restaurant owned by a mob-type guy. Eddie wears bright-colored shirts with the top few buttons open, black pants, and a silver cross on a heavy chain. He walks around visiting his patrons, offering a free piece of cheesecake every now and again (always to tables with children), and shouting at his wait staff - "Chop! Chop! Get this man a salad! Pronto!" etc. His cousin from NY plays keyboard there. Once when we were there, someone had a birthday so he sang to them, very loudly and very offkey. He's a riot! My family and Billy's parents love to go there.
I need more Mr and Mrs PoMonkey in my life. I miss you guys.
