YOU DECIDE

I can't decide if this looks exciting or scary. It's a ride we saw this summer when we were at the beach. I was excited to see the monkeys, of course, but then a little frightened by the ride.

DAILY BAILEY

Bailey has warmed up to us quite well...very well, in fact, to Mr. Ginger. We love the Happy Dance that she does every time we come back from being away - even if we've just been in another room! And, of course,
she loves her
first monkey.

AN INTRODUCTION

I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself...my name is Bailey Eppinette. Yesterday I moved in with PoMonkey and Mr. Ginger (who by the way, starting posting again on his blog!)...they adopted me from the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society. I'm 2 years old and a mix of Beagle and something else...some say Boxer, some say Shepherd, some say some sort of Spaniel. I personally don't really care…I’m just glad to be out of that noisy place filled with barking dogs. I’m potty trained, somewhat crate trained, and my new buddies say it looks like someone had started leash training. I like my new home…I chose to sleep last night completely under their bed, I love belly rubs, and as you can see from the photo below, the back of the sofa is a perfect, comfy spot for me! Well, I’ve got some napping to do. I just wanted to try out this blog thing...it's possible that you'll see less monkey photos and more Bailey photos! (I'm gonna try and sneak them in.)

TITF #3

Today I'm Thankful For:
Chick-fil-A!!!

Mr. PoMonkey and I drove home yesterday from a conference in Louisville, Kentucky and happened upon the delicious restaurant somewhere in Indiana. We don't have Chick-fil-A in Chicago, so it was an extra special treat.
Let's hear a shout-out for Combo #1 and an Icedream!!

It's also an added bonus that their "first priority has never been just to serve chicken. It's to serve a higher calling". Their official statement of corporate purpose says that they exist "to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us and to have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A."

That's pretty cool!

DOOPITY DEE

Do I look like a MUNCHKIN in this photo? Or an OOMPA LOOMPA? This was a very special birthday gift from a cute little princess in Louisiana. I tried it on for all the office to see when my fabulous office-mate took this lovely photo. We quickly realized that the angle and position of the camera made me look like something out of The Wizard of Oz or Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. We got a really nice laugh out of it...one of those guttural laughs that just renews your energy and strength!

Today I'm Thankful For:
an assigned parking space

You don't realize what a blessing it is until you have to circle the blocks again and again just to find a space within walking distance. Thankfully, we don't have to do that!

PHIL COLLINS AND MONKEYS

"Well it just seemed like the right thing to do. There's no clever science behind it - it's just an effort to make you smile, in exactly the same way Cadbury Dairy Milk does. And that's what we aim to continue to do; simply make you smile." - Cadbury
And it does. It makes me smile. Not only because it's clever and it's a gorilla. But because it takes me back to the 80's!

DANGEROUS DECORATIONS

Yesterday was Mr. PoMonkey's birthday. However, we did not come into the office because we had a meeting to attend. So when we arrived today, his office had been "decorated" in celebration of his birthday by some of our sneaky coworkers. Most of the items that are normally on his desk were hanging by cables from his ceiling. Quite creative, if you ask me. The only disturbing part was the possibility of mutilating your eye or face with the inconveniently placed pair of scissors.

HERE'S TO YOU, MR. POMONKEY!!
