TALULA DOES THE HULA FROM HAWAII

That's what a mother in New Zealand named her daughter.

No. I'm not joking.

Talula Does the Hula from Hawai
i
is her given name. She apparently hated it so much that she went by "K" until she was made a ward of the court so she could change it.

As a teacher, I had some oddly-named students throughout the years, but nothing like these. Some other unusual names listed:
  • Midnight Chardonnay
  • Number 16 Bus Shelter
  • Space Travel
  • Build the Nation
  • Twins named Benson and Hedges
Do you have any to add?

First name Jeremiah. Middle name, Twenty Nine Eleven Through Thirteen. No lie.

I went to school with a girl named Sunshine. She went by Sunny. But she got married briefly to a man with the last name Lowe. Sunshine Lowe. Not really that funny but she got the joke about when does the Sun shine high?

I went to junior high with Jim Shu - how sweet is that?

I was recently talking with a friend living in Tennessee, and she likes to share the funny baby names now and then. My favorite one so far has been "Hawkeye Luke"

We're thinking of giving our baby a weird "M" name out of the Bible - like Meshipobeth ... or Matthew. ;)

Lol-- that last comment makes me laugh. With our first baby, we told people we were going to name him Sosipater (it's one of Paul's friends briefly mentioned somewhere in Romans 16).
I would joke, "but wouldn't 'Pate' make such a cute nickname?"

Actually I kind of like the name. She never had to go by the full name. Just go by Talula...which I really like.

Someone who lived next door to my grandmother named her child Geronimo Apache (first and middle names). He goes by "Ron".

At one of my recent shows, a teacher was talking about some of the names she's seen:
Le-a (pronounced le-DASH-uh,
ABC (pronounced ay-BEE-see,
and a set of triplets named La'Miracle, Ta'Miracle, and Da'Miracle.

My youngest sister is a social worker who deals with paternity and child support. She's seen some interesting names come across her desk...
